Worked great until I left where I should not have and dogs tore it up! Need to order another one!
He loves the new leash
We got this after much deliberation over the different harness options. Our 5 month old catahoula mix is a very strong puller. The fit was great - I love that I could order on the larger side and adjust it down so it fits her now and I can expand it back up as she grows. Both the neck and back can be adjusted. We just took our first walk and the difference is night and day. The harness, combined with our puppy training, made for a much easier and more enjoyable walk. When she did pull, it was so much less force and effort to provide a correction - so much easier on her (no more choking herself) and on me. The gentle correction was effective and resulted in her to come back to the heel position and stop pulling. I also was concerned about other harnesses that seemed like they would rub under her front legs, which is already a sensitive area for her. This harness doesn't hit there at all. We did have a minor issue with shipping, but I don't believe it was the fault of the seller.
I have a 92lb lab mix that really likes to pull. The front clip option really helps curb that. I also put it on her when we are having company because it has the handle on the back (the oh crap handle) that is easy to grasp if she wants to jump on someone. It seems comfortable and it doesn't shift to the side like others I've had.
Fabulous! I have a 53# mixed bull dog that I have tried every conceivable product on. He had an accident that affected his behavior, and I'm not finished trying every intervention to get my George back to normal. He's a puller and thinks he should lead the walker or group of walkers. He becomes VERY FOCUSED on neighborhood dogs, birds, squirrels or anything moving. Working with my veterinarian, he suggested the no pull harness with the FRONT CLIP! Not the back clip because that was another trial and failed miserably. I've returned $30 harness and a backpack that I purchased to add the extra weight to slow him down. He TORE the backpack to smithereens on the first trial because the weight didn't stop him and he tore away from me, injuring my finger and breaking my foot. I can no longer walk him until he's back under control. My husband has now walked him about 4 times, about a half mile each time. The front clasp makes him turn back instead of continuing forward and pulling you along. Sometime that harness is completely twisted around because he wants to chase, but he hasn't broken free yet. My husband holds the leash close to the dog, then smacks his butt lightly with the leftover leash to get his focus back to him. It works. I'm still not able to walk him since my foot is still healing from a second time knocking me over. He's had obedience training too. So with all that in mind, this harness is the best investment since the Gentle Leader, which worked well until his accident and still can be used in certain circumstances. This harness offers more control. It is durable too.
I was starting to hate walking our 8 month old AmStaff mix puppy. Hes 50 lbs and very strong and determined. The tugging and pulling were killing my shoulder regardless of the length of the lead. With the harness clipped in the front, he physically can't continue to pull. The video I attached includes a moment on our walk when he was trying to chase a bird which he finally gave up on bc when he pulls the harness turns him around. We bought a large with the hope he could grow into it. It fits just fine around his ribs with plenty of room to grow. We have it as tight as it can go around the neck and its a little loose but he hasnt been able to slip out of it. Also while walking one night one of my neighbors pulled over to tell me how much he liked the reflectors. He said he saw us walking from quite a distance away. Im so happy we bought this. Its made walking him enjoyable again. I definitely recommend it to anyone who has a dog that pulls when walking.
Only used a couple of times using training too. My dog is very comfortable in the harness. Its is very comfortable for me too as she cannot pull me in a dangerous way. I was always averse to harnesses as I thought the dog pulled into the chest strap like a cart horse. Not so with this harness as one end of your lead is hooked to the chest piece and then the other end along the dog's back. You must have a double clip leash for this to work
Luna's previous harness (or sports bra, as my wife refers to it) was from a competing manufacturer but came in a "Fuschia" colour. That is the only aspect I would have changed on this item. She was the envy of the neighbourhood with a bright pink outfit but now she's stuck with formal black, which is, of course, perfect for the opera. Buckles and straps are solid enough to keep a 37 pound, 6 month old Golden Doodle hurricane puppy tamed. Head opening is generous enough to avert that eye-rolling, "What ARE you putting on me??" look . Reflective strip is a nice touch if you're trapped in a dark room with a golden doodle and a flashlight. Handle on top could be a smidge bigger unless, of course, you have the hands of a ballerina and a puppy who doesn't believe in tugging or pulling as life choices. I haven't tested the front ring connector as a "Tugging Correction" device because, honestly, I have bigger behaviour ticks I'm focusing on. Like the "Please don't bring my boxers in to the living room and drop them at the feet of our guests" issue I love so dearly. Overall, excellent product.
I love it I’ve tried loads of harness before I have a husky and he’s 7 months he likes to pull and I find this has made my life so much easier! It’s got a lot of comfort and doesn’t hurt him in anyway he walks a lot better now! So thank you amazing quality ! :)
This product literally has been a game changer for walks with out now 6 month old Beagle x Spaniel. Whilst our little lad is generally very well behaved once we turn on a walk to head home or he figures out we are on our way back to the car he becomes a right terror. He will pull so hard that he quite literally ends up often walking on his hind legs. A horrible experience for him and whoever he is walking with. It once took us nearly our hour to walk 300 meters back home as we would stop everytime he pulled only for him to EE start as soon as we thought he had gotten the message. After seeing this product mentioned on a forum we thought we would give it a go. Ordered with Prime the harness arrived the following day and after a bit of working out the straps and resizing it was off for our first walk. Intially leaving home our lad was attached by the rear lead point. Even then a change was noticeable in his behaviour. Turning back and again he went into tugboat mode. A quick stop to switch over the chest ring ad hey presto we had a puppy who suddenly found trying to pull just pulled him around in a circle. Confused he just sat down and looked up and me and the wife as to say “what have you done?” Having now used the harness over several weeks we hardly now use the front point. If he’s having a bad day a few minutes on the front link and all is sorted. Only thing I ave noticed that the harness does twist on him a little if he should try to pull against the front point, but it’s not a major issue as he soon gives up against it anyway. Both my wife and I think that the size and fit of the harness makes our puppy feel more secure. Would be recommend? Yes. A friend of ours had two dogs from the same litter as our and they both now have no pull harnesses. The improvement, coupled with being a totally humane way to dissuade pulling, makes every penny spent on this worth it.
Am very pleased with this Rabitgoo Harness. Although my 6 month old Cockerpoo was not a persistent puller, he would sometimes catch me off guard if he spotted something he was interested in or could see another dog approaching. It was surprising how strong he was when he pulled me and walks with him could sometimes not be as enjoyable as I had hoped. We have only had the harness a few days now but I must say it seems to be working well, he walks very nicely, of course he still gets excited if he sees other dogs but the front clip doesn't allow him to pull as strongly as before. The harness seems to be of good strong quality and fits him nicely, easy to put on and looks quite smart!. I got the medium size which I adjusted to the smallest it would go to fit my 12.5 kg Cockapoo. Very pleased!
Bought this for our golden retriever puppy and he’s been using it since he was about 2 and a half months. We didn’t want to teach him to pull so that’s why we got it at first (and we didn’t have the time to always do proper training with a collar), but as he got older he got sooo much stronger! I am so pleased that now that he actually is strong enough to drag me, this harness still stops him from doing that! Honestly the difference between using this and a collar is like night and day - I actually wouldn’t be able to walk him if I didn’t have this. This makes walks so pleasant and has really helped training and him listening to me. He’s still only 5 months and he’s fast growing out of this size, but will def he buying the next size up.
I have bought two sizes of this harness for our Springer Spaniel pup. The size 'S' did her up until she was 9 months and then I bought a size M. I bought it again because the quality is excellent. I really like the bright orange colour as we can spot her in the undergrowth for a good distance away. She loves wearing it and it doesn't impede her running around in anyway. I also like the loops at the front and back to easily allow you to hold the dog while you attach a lead. Lastly, it is easy to put on and off as the clips are on the topside behind the front shoulders. Its been through the wash multiple times now and is still going strong.
Easy to put on and holds my bull terrier well
